Common questions

How do I water a plant?

Tap it on your table. You'll see a short "Watered" note with an Undo button. Hold a plant to see its story: streak, days since the last watering, the last 16 weeks and your notes.

Why is my plant wilting?

Each plant has a rhythm, like "at least 3 times a week". When it goes longer than its rhythm allows without water, it gets thirsty and droops. Water it once and it bounces right back.

My reminders aren't arriving

Check that notifications are allowed for Cultivate in Settings › Notifications, that the plant isn't muted (Cultivate › Settings › Reminders), and that the reminder time isn't inside your quiet hours. Reminders only go out when a plant is actually thirsty, at most once a day.

How does iCloud sync work?

Your table is saved to your own iCloud, so it stays in sync on your iPhone and iPad when you're signed in with the same Apple Account. If iCloud is off, it stays on the device and syncs once you turn iCloud on. No Cultivate account is needed.

What does Cultivate+ include?

Unlimited plants (the free table holds 3), the full greenhouse with classic flowers and seasonal plants, Seasons, and Home Screen widgets. It's available yearly with a 7-day free trial, monthly, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

How do I restore or cancel Cultivate+?

To restore, open Cultivate › Settings › Restore purchase while signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. To cancel a subscription, open your device's Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › Cultivate+. You keep Cultivate+ until the end of the period you've paid for.

What happens to my plants if Cultivate+ ends?

Nothing is deleted. Your first three plants carry on as usual; the rest rest quietly. They don't wilt, and they come back the moment Cultivate+ is active again.

How do I add the widgets?

Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit › Add Widget, search for Cultivate and choose "Your Table" or "Water a Plant". Widgets are part of Cultivate+.

How do I delete my data?

Remove a plant from its screen (••• › Remove from table). To delete everything, delete the app and remove Cultivate's data in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
